Focus and Scope
Journal Geram (Gerakan Aktif Menulis) publishes conceptual and research articles on literature, language, and education. It is managed by the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Islam Riau, and published by UIR Press.
The journal is a venue for research results, theory development, experiments, and literature reviews. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. They are assessed by reviewers in a relevant discipline, and the editor decides on the basis of those reports. The journal publishes four issues a year, in March, June, September, and December.
Scope
The journal publishes work on Indonesian language and literature education, and on education, language, and literature more broadly. The Call for Papers invites articles in three fields.
Education and Learning
Philosophy of education, teaching methods, problems and issues of educational management, and educational technology.
Language Studies

Literature Studies
Literary criticism, comparative literature, and studies of narrative, identity, and cultural texts.
Journal Geram (Gerakan Aktif Menulis) welcomes original qualitative and quantitative research, critical literature reviews, and studies from academics, researchers, and students. Coverage is open to authors beyond Universitas Islam Riau.
