Efforts To Increase Teacher Competency In The Application Of The Gasing Method To Improve Students' Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to describe increasing interest in learning and numeracy skills through the application of the Gasing method in Mathematics learning. This type of research is PTS (School Action Research). The subjects of this research were teachers at SDN 2 Gunungpereng. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively qualitatively by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' interest in learning Mathematics. This can be seen from the acquisition of indicators of achieving interest in learning. Indicators of achieving interest in learning in the final cycle or cycle II, namely: 1) Students who have feelings of joy 96.43%, 2) Students who have interest 85.71%, 3) Students who actively participate 92.86%. 4) Students who have involvement 89.49. The results of written tests conducted before and after the research showed an increase in student learning outcomes. Before the class action was given, student learning outcomes only reached 32.14%, then in the first cycle it increased to 55.36%, while at the end of the action, student learning outcomes reached a KKM of 92.86%. Based on the data and data analysis above, it can be concluded that the application of the method GASING increases students' interest in learning and numeracy skills in mathematics subjects so that it has an impact on improving learning outcomes.
