Partisipasi Masyarakat Pada Program KB Pria Di DPPKBP3A Kecamatan Tapung Hilir, Kabupaten Kampar

Abstract

This study aims to determine community participation in the Male Family Planning Program at the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. The type of research is qualitative, the data collection technique used is primary data collected using interview techniques and secondary data using observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis technique, it is concluded that the decision-making indicators implemented have not played a role where the DPPKBP3A service is still lacking in conveying information and education on male family planning to the community because it focuses more on postpartum MKJP family planning for women in the process of counseling to the community only involving women because there has been no special socialization for men. Indicators of program implementation in the process found obstacles in the limited budget for male family planning, difficulty in gathering men on the grounds that they are busy working and also anxiety that MOP family planning can have a negative impact on health. In the utilization indicator of the MOP KB program, it does not interfere with men's health, both physically and in terms of husband and wife relations, from the benefits felt by condom KB acceptors, namely safer use. The program evaluation indicator still found obstacles in the form of minimal knowledge of the community itself regarding the use of male KB, side effects and also its benefits, an incomplete understanding of the role as a husband who is less concerned about KB.
