PERAN PETUGAS LAPANGAN KELUARGA BERENCANA (PLKB) DI KECAMATAN TENAYAN RAYA KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the role of Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) in Tenayan Raya District. Family Planning field officers (PLKB) are regional government officials tasked with managing, developing and mobilizing community potential and participation in accordance with the needs of the national family planning program, where Family Planning field officers (PLKB) are tasked with the responsibility and authority to manage population development and development. family, and family planning. One of the National Family Planning (BKKBN) programs in increasing public awareness of participating in family planning is through Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB), where they have direct contact with the community in providing education regarding family planning programs. In this research the author using qualitative methods, with snowball sampling techniques, where data is collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. From the research results, there are 5 indicators including stabilizers, pioneers, modernizers, implementation. Based on the results of research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that the role of Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) is considered lacking, especially in terms of stabilizer indicators, modernizer indicators and implementation indicators. Where the author considers that there is a lack of effectiveness carried out by PLKB and cadres in disseminating information to the public regarding family planning education as well as many people who lack interest and participation in family planning programs, especially for men, and also a lack of human resources (HR) which can also be reduce the level of family planning use in Tenayan Raya District. The department and Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) in Tenayan Raya District have actually done their best in accordance with the directions given.
