Abstract

The development of land in Tambang District reflects efforts to fulfill various needs for land-based activities, including social activities, housing, industry, and others. Tambang District is one of the sub-districts in Kampar Regency with an administrative area of approximately 489.91 km² (48,991.00 hectares). The largest village in terms of area is Kuapan Village, covering 85.29 km², while the smallest is Pulau Permai Village with an area of 3.3 km². This study aims to examine the socio-economic factors influencing the selection of residential locations in Tambang District. This research employs a deductive approach with a quantitative descriptive design. The methods used include descriptive analysis and Likert scale analysis. The findings show the scores for each socio-economic indicator as follows: the accessibility indicator scored 75% (good), the environmental indicator scored 80% (very good), the physical indicator scored 77% (good), the legality indicator scored 80% (good), and the facility indicator scored 78% (good). Among these, the environmental and legality indicators obtained the highest ratings, indicating stronger positive perceptions compared to other indicators.
