Efektivitas Program Perluasan Kesempatan Kerja Di Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

The Job Opportunity Expansion Program is a program run by the Pekanbaru City Manpower Office which is formed through the empowerment of independent workers in Pekanbaru City. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the job opportunity expansion program in Pekanbaru City in improving the quality and empowerment of workers so as to expand job opportunities in Pekanbaru City. This type of research uses a qualitative method using representative informants from the Pekanbaru City Manpower Office and also the community who have participated in the Job Opportunity Expansion Program and by using five dimensions of indicator assessment, namely program understanding, target accuracy, timeliness, achievement of goals and real changes. The results of this study indicate that the job opportunity expansion program in Pekanbaru City is quite effective, due to the availability and accessibility of various sources of information, the availability and accessibility of various sources of information, the alignment between program objectives (improving the quality of the workforce, expanding job opportunities, and empowering the economy) with the aspirations and results achieved by participants. Therefore, this program is not only running, but also successfully realizing positive impacts that are in accordance with the expectations of both the organizers and participants.
