Author Guidelines

General Information

Edu Sportivo: Indonesian Journal of Physical Education publishes original and high-quality manuscripts related to Physical Education. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Editorial decisions are based on originality, scientific merit, clarity of presentation, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope.

The journal accepts two types of manuscripts: Research Articles and Review Articles.
Manuscript Type Description Maximum Requirement
Research Articles Original empirical studies that contribute to the development of knowledge and practice in physical education. Maximum 20 pages and 60 references.
Review Articles Comprehensive literature reviews, including narrative reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, scoping reviews, bibliometric studies, and content analysis studies. Maximum 25 pages and 100 references.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Language Manuscripts must be written in English.
Originality Manuscripts must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
Paper Size A4 (210 × 297 mm).
Font and Spacing Cambria, 12 pt, single spacing.
Template Authors must use the official journal manuscript template.
Plagiarism Screening All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software.
Manuscript Structure
Title Maximum 14 words, concise, informative, and clearly reflecting the content of the manuscript.
Authors Full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses must be provided.
Abstract Maximum 250 words containing background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
Keywords Provide 3–5 keywords arranged alphabetically.
Main Sections Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Conflict of Interest, AI Disclosure Statement, and References.
References and Citation Style
Citation Style APA 7th Edition.
Reference Manager Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Reference Quality At least 70% of references should be journal articles published within the last 5 years.
Online Submission Procedure
Step 1 Register as an Author through the journal website.
Step 2 Log in and select “New Submission”.
Step 3 Upload the manuscript file and complete all required metadata.
Step 4 Upload supplementary files if necessary.
Step 5 Review the submission and click “Finish Submission”.
