Author Guidelines

General Conditions

The manuscript must be an original work, has never been published, and is not being submitted to another journal. Articles are sent in Microsoft Word format. The manuscript is written on A4 paper, one column, using Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, with top, bottom, left, and right margins of 2.5 cm each. Manuscript length 12–18 pages.

The Initial Identity of the Manuscript

The title of the article is written in English with a maximum length of 14 words. Below the title is the author's name, study program and institution, as well as the active email of each author. Abstracts are written in two languages, namely English and Indonesian, 100–200 words in one paragraph each. Keywords are written in 3–5 words.

Manuscript Systematics

The order of the JAFAR manuscript follows the following order:

Title – Author Identity – Abstract – Keywords – Introduction – Literature Review and Hypothesis Development – Research Methods – Results of Research and Discussion – Conclusion – Acknowledgment (optional) – Bibliography – Appendix (optional).

Heading and Subheading Terms

The title of the main section is written in all capital letters, bold, medium flat. Level 2 subtitles are written in bold title cases. Level 3 subtitles are written in bold italic title case. Level 4 subheadings are written in italic title case. Heading numbering is not used to be consistent with the format of the JAFAR template.

Introduction

The introductory section contains the research background, research objectives, and research contributions. Research contributions need to affirm the research gap and explain how this study fills the gap. This section is written without additional subheadings.

Literature Review and Hypothesis Development

This section contains a review of the relevant literature and the development of research hypotheses. If the research does not use a formal hypothesis, it can still be used to build a conceptual framework for the research.

Research Methods

The method section contains research design, research objectives and objectives, population and samples, data collection techniques, research models, and data analysis techniques. If there are equations, use a neat equation editor and display only the relevant formulas.

Tables, Figures, and Data Presentation

Tables should be included in the main text, not an appendix, and are the result of a pre-arranged process, not a copy-paste directly from statistical software. Tables are given a clear sequence number and title, referenced within the narrative, with no vertical lines, and horizontal lines kept to a minimum. Images are also included in the main manuscript, numbered, a title describing the content of the image, and the source of the image must be included. In the JAFAR template, the title of the image is placed below the image.

Results and Discussion

This section contains the results of data analysis, hypothesis testing, answers to research questions, main findings, and interpretation of the findings. The discussion not only explains the results, but also explains the academic meaning and its implications.

Conclusion

The conclusion section contains research conclusions, research limitations, and suggestions for further research. The conclusion is written as a whole section with no additional subheadings.

Acknowledgment

This section is optional. It is used to express appreciation to funding institutions, institutions, or other parties who help technically or administratively.

Bibliography

The bibliography is compiled using a reference manager and follows the 7th edition of APA Style. This format is different from the JEI draft which uses the Harvard Style, so for JAFAR all citations and references should be standardized to APA 7.

This section is nice to add as a closing menu adapted from your original guideline:
