Peer-Review Process

IJTIMA’ implements a double-blind peer-review process to ensure that every submitted manuscript meets high academic and ethical standards. Each article is evaluated by expert reviewers in the relevant field, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which emphasize integrity, transparency, and honesty in scientific publishing.

Before Submission

Before submitting a manuscript to IJTIMA’, please ensure the following:

  • The manuscript is formatted according to the latest IJTIMA’ template.
  • Author-identifying information (name, affiliation, email) has been removed from the manuscript file to maintain double-blind review integrity.
  • Author data (full name, affiliation, corresponding email) has been correctly and completely filled in the OJS metadata form.
  • The abstract is well-structured and does not exceed 250 words.
  • References are formatted using APA citation style (7th edition).
  • Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted material (if applicable).
  • Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed in the metadata (if applicable).
  • The manuscript has passed a plagiarism check using Turnitin, with a maximum similarity index of 20%.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the IJTIMA’ Open Journal System (OJS). Authors will receive an email notification confirming that their submission has been received successfully.

Post-Submission: Review and Decision Process

Each manuscript undergoes initial screening by the editorial team to assess relevance, format compliance, and overall eligibility. If it passes the initial screening, the manuscript is forwarded to two independent reviewers, maintaining the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality
  • Contribution to the community
  • Appropriateness of methodology
  • Clarity of presentation and structure

Review outcomes may include: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected. Authors required to revise must submit a response letter addressing each reviewer’s comments alongside the revised manuscript. Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewer input and the overall scholarly contribution of the work.

IJTIMA’ upholds the highest standards of publication ethics, including the rejection of manuscripts with any indication of plagiarism or research misconduct.

If Your Article is Accepted

If your manuscript is accepted for publication:

  • Copyright remains with the author(s), while granting IJTIMA’ the right to publish the article under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
  • The manuscript will undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading stages.
  • Authors will receive a final proof for review, where only minor corrections are permitted.
  • Upon final approval, the article will be officially published and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure long-term accessibility and citation tracking.
