Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission System Authors are invited to submit manuscripts through the IJTIMA’ Online Journal System (OJS). The required manuscript template can be downloaded [HERE] and must be followed strictly. Authors should not create their own format and are expected to adjust their content into the provided template.

Before You Begin: Author Responsibilities By submitting a manuscript to IJTIMA’, the author(s) affirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All authors have made significant contributions to the preparation of the manuscript.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • Ethical approval has been obtained, if applicable.
  • The manuscript adheres to the principles and ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • The manuscript has undergone a plagiarism check using Turnitin, with a maximum similarity index of 20%.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted IJTIMA’ only accepts articles based on community service activities. The manuscript should include the following components:

  • Background of the activity
  • Objectives and implementation methods
  • Results of the community engagement
  • Evaluation of results and impact
  • Visual documentation of the activity

The manuscript must reflect originality, societal benefits, and tangible contributions to the community.

Ethics on the Use of Generative AI Tools Authors are required to disclose the use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) in manuscript preparation. AI may only be used for language editing or formatting—not for idea development, data analysis, or drafting conclusions. AI must not be listed as an author. Misuse of AI, including data fabrication or falsification of references, will be considered unethical.

Research and Publication Ethics IJTIMA’ upholds the highest standards of research and publication ethics. Manuscripts must not contain:

  • Plagiarism or self-plagiarism
  • Duplicate publication
  • Data manipulation or fabrication

If the activity involves human subjects, a statement of consent or engagement from the community partners must be included. All sources must be properly cited, and funding sources and conflicts of interest must be transparently declared.

Copyright Permission for Third-Party Content Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission for the use of copyrighted third-party content (e.g., images, tables, extended quotations). This permission must be submitted alongside the manuscript.

Open Access Policy All articles published in IJTIMA’ are open access and licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).  This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly cited.
