Pengembangan Anak Cerdas Istimewa dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam: Melibatkan Metode Contextual Teaching and Learning

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dalam mengembangkan anak cerdas istimewa (CI). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mixed method dengan menjadikan guru-guru sebagai informan sekaligus juga literatur yang berkaitan dengan fokus penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara terhadap informan dan mengkonstruk literatur yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis dengan content analysis mixed method. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa anak cerdas istimewa dapat dikembangkan dengan metode pembelajaran Contektual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Efektivitas metode CTL dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dimaknai sebagai metode yang dapat mengarahkan keberhasilan belajar pada anak Cerdas Istimewa, memberikan kemudahan belajar berdasarkan minat serta pengalaman nyata anak, dan mendorong usaha kerja sama dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar antara pendidik dengan anak didik. Temuan penelitian ini dapat dilakukan pengembangan metode CTL untuk mengembangkan anak CI diterapkan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di berbagai sekolah di Indonesia
