About the Journal

Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam Al-Thariqah is scientific journal publish by UIR Press with E-ISSN 2549-8770 and P-ISSN 2527-9610, starting 2026 published two issue a year;  June, and December. The focus of this journal is important and actual issues regarding Islamic religious education in learning and instruction and Islamic teacher professionalism in madrasa and Islamic boarding school. Moreover, this journal also covers the issues concerned with environmental Islamic religious education. In addition to original articles, the journal features the following scops; learning in Islamic education, Islamic teaching method, Islamic learning media, madrasah teacher professionalism, Islamic teacher pedagogical competence, Islamic professional competence, Islamic personality competence, and Islamic teacher social competence. 

This journal was established on Friday, 01 April 2016 in accordance with the decision of the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Islam Riau Number 001/Kpts/Dekan-FAI/UIR/ 2016. This journal has acredited at SINTA’S rank 3 according to the decision of the Director General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia, Number: 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 about the reacreditation ranking of scientific journals for period 2, 2025.
