Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Ekonomi KIAT, authors confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
  • All listed authors have made substantial contributions to the research and have approved the submitted manuscript.
  • All relevant conflicts of interest and sources of funding are disclosed.
  • Appropriate ethical approval and informed consent have been obtained where required.
  • The research and publication process follows applicable ethical standards, including relevant principles and guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • The manuscript is checked for text similarity. A similarity index of no more than 20% is the journal's stated screening threshold; the similarity report must be interpreted by the editorial team in context.
  • Authors disclose the use of generative AI tools in accordance with the journal's AI policy and remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submissions.

Generative AI Usage

Generative AI tools may be used for appropriate assistance, such as language editing or grammar correction, provided their use is disclosed when required by the journal. AI tools must not replace the authors' intellectual contribution, research judgment, or responsibility for the findings. AI-generated content must not be presented as verified fact, and AI tools must not be listed as authors. Fabricating data, results, or references using AI is unacceptable. Authors are responsible for checking all content produced with AI assistance.

Manuscripts with an AI-detection score above 30% may be referred for further editorial assessment. Such a score is an indicator for investigation, not conclusive evidence of misconduct.

6. Post-Submission: Review and Decision

Jurnal Ekonomi KIAT uses a double-blind peer-review process. Each manuscript first undergoes editorial screening to assess its relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with submission requirements, originality, and overall suitability for review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are normally sent to at least two independent reviewers. The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process, subject to the journal's procedures.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on originality, significance, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, relevance, and clarity. Their recommendations may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors asked to revise their manuscripts should submit a revised version and a point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision, taking into account reviewer reports, editorial assessment, and the manuscript's contribution to the field. Submissions involving plagiarism or other research or publication misconduct may be rejected or handled under the journal's publication ethics procedures.

7. If Your Paper Is Accepted

After acceptance, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading. Authors may be asked to check the proofs and correct typographical or production errors. Substantive changes at this stage may require editorial approval.

Following completion of the production process, the article is published online and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where applicable. Authors should carefully check the final proofs and ensure that names, affiliations, references, tables, and figures are accurate.
