Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Ekonomi KIAT considers plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct to be serious violations of research and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original and must appropriately acknowledge the ideas, words, data, images, and other materials obtained from other sources.
Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ekonomi KIAT are screened for plagiarism and text similarity using Turnitin before entering the peer-review process.
The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%, as verified through Turnitin. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the detected similarities.
The similarity score generated by Turnitin is used as an initial screening indicator and does not, by itself, constitute a determination of plagiarism. The editorial team will examine the Turnitin report to determine whether the detected similarities are appropriately cited, legitimately quoted, or indicate potential plagiarism.
