    Jurnal Ekonomi KIAT was established by the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) as an academic platform to publish scholarly ideas and research in the fields of economics and development.

    • First Editor-in-Chief: Drs. Tarmizi, M.Si
  2. 1996–2014
    The journal was published in printed format on a biannual basis (June and December).
    • Scope: Accounting, Management, Business Law, Taxation, Information Systems, and other fields related to economics and finance.
    • As of June 2014, a total of 22 issues had been published.

    Starting from this issue, the journal introduced a new manuscript template aligned with international academic publishing standards and the OJS 3 platform.
    • The update includes formatting structure, citation style, article layout, and overall design improvements.
    • This change marks a strategic effort to enhance journal quality for national accreditation and international indexing.
