Abstract

One of the steps taken by the government to improve the quality of education is to update the Higher Education Curriculum. This curriculum encourages students to be more active than lecturers. Digital Mind Map is a visual representation that illustrates the relationship between concepts in the form of a digital mind map. It allows the use of applications to organize and display information visually, combining text and graphics in a very concise way. This research is a class action research consisting of pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The subjects of this study were 3rd Semester Biology Education students of FKIP UIR Academic Year 2023/2024. The results showed that the application of digital mind map learning media can improve the learning outcomes of Biology Education students of FKIP Riau Islamic University Academic Year 2023/2024 based on the analysis of changes in block exam scores in cycle I and cycle II block exams have increased from cycle I to cycle II, this can be seen in the comparison of the average value of student absorption for UB1 67.87%, in UB2 73.41% an increase of 5.54%.
