Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Proceedings of the International Conference on Agricultural Strategy for Sustainability (ICASS) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher, based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Authors’ Responsibilities

• Originality: Authors must submit original work that has not been published or under consideration elsewhere.
• Authorship: All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
• Citations: Proper acknowledgment of others’ work must always be given.
• Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one publication is unethical and unacceptable.
• Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could affect the results or interpretation of their work.
• Errors: If significant errors are discovered after submission or publication, authors must promptly notify the editor and cooperate to correct or retract the paper.

2. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

• Double-Blind Review: All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts, with both authors’ and reviewers’ identities kept anonymous.
• Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively and supported with constructive comments.
• Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
• Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify uncited relevant work.
• Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

3. Editorial Responsibilities

• Decision-Making: Editors decide which manuscripts are suitable for publication based on academic merit, reviewer feedback, and relevance to the conference scope.
• Fairness: Manuscripts are evaluated without discrimination regarding race, gender, religion, nationality, or political orientation.
• Confidentiality: Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
• Misconduct: Editors will take necessary action if ethical misconduct (plagiarism, duplicate submission, data falsification) is identified.

4. Plagiarism and Similarity Check

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). A similarity index of maximum 20% is tolerated (excluding references). Manuscripts failing to meet this requirement will be rejected automatically.

5. Copyright and Open Access

• Copyright remains with the authors.
• Authors grant ICASS the right to publish and distribute the work as part of the proceedings.
• All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.

6. Publication and Indexing

Accepted and presented papers are published in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Agricultural Strategy for Sustainability (ICASS) in cooperation with Bio Web of Conferences (EDP Sciences).

• Each paper will receive a DOI.
• The proceedings will be indexed in Google Scholar
