The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which class X students' skills have improved in writing descriptive texts. This research was carried out in Class The method used in this research is PTK with a cycle technique, consisting of cycles I and II. The data collection tools used for quantitative data are written daily tests and the tools for qualitative data are observation sheets, self-reflection, and peer review as well as performance assessment rubrics. The research results show that image media can improve descriptive text writing skills. Learning completeness increased from 60% in cycle I and 74% in cycle II. Students' descriptive text writing skills increased by 14% compared to the average learning outcomes at the pre-cycle stage. And learning outcomes in cycle 2 increased by 14% of the average learning outcomes in cycle I
