This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the English language learning process carried out in class X OTP SMK Negeri 1 Mempura, Mempura sub-district, Siak district. This is due to a lack of student motivation to learn, and teachers lacking variety in using learning models by conducting action research which is carried out directly in the classroom. From the results of the action, it was concluded that using the TAI learning method could increase student activity in English subjects in class .90% from cycle I, meeting 1 to meeting 2, Post test experienced an increase of 14.29% from cycle I, meeting 1 to meeting 2. Likewise, in Cycle II, all aspects experienced an increase. Learning activities increased 18.10% from cycle II meeting 1 to meeting 2, Portfolio experienced an increase of 12.52% from cycle I meeting 1 to meeting 2, Post test increased 19.05% from cycle I meeting 1 to meeting. These data show that using the TAI learning method can improve learning activities and outcomes so that this learning model can be applied by other English teachers in teaching and learning activities.
