Abstract

The A role is a series of behaviors that a person is exposed to in accordance with the appropriate portion given either formally or informally. This research aims to find out the role of Community Empowerment Institutions (LPM) in village development. The research, which was located at the Penghulu Kampung Tualang Office, used descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach, as well as data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The research results of the Facilitator, Mediator, Motivator and Dynamisator indicators from the data analysis carried out by the researchers showed that the function of Community Empowerment Institutions (LPM) in village development has not played a optimal role. Therefore, there needs to be better attention from the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM) so that the function of the Facilitator to socialize, mobilize and invite the community to participate can be better and for the community to be able to participate directly in the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM). in development or other programs in Tualang Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency.
