About the Journal

The International Journal of Business Sustainability (IJBS) is an international, peer-reviewed platinum open-access journal published three times a year—in March, July, and November—by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Riau. As a platinum open-access journal, all content is freely accessible to readers without embargo or subscription fees. Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full-text articles, or use them for any lawful purpose, as long as proper acknowledgment is given to the original authors and source. No prior permission is required from the authors or publisher.

Current Issue

This issue brings together five studies addressing sustainable urban transportation, military expenditure and economic growth, financial inclusion in agriculture, artificial intelligence in banking, and halal tourism research. Collectively, the articles highlight how technological innovation, accessible financial services, balanced public policy, and responsible sectoral development can support inclusive and sustainable economies. With contributors affiliated with institutions in Malaysia, Nigeria, and Indonesia, the issue connects perspectives from Southeast Asia and Africa and offers relevant insights for researchers, policymakers, financial institutions, and industry practitioners.
