Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

GUIDELINES FOR WRITING ARTICLES

Article Writing Systematics

Title: The title is written briefly, clearly, maximum of 12 words in Indonesian or 10 words in English, written in capital letters, Cambria font size 12, written in the middle without a period ending.

Author name, e-mail address, and institution: Author name (without academic degree), e-mail address, and name of the institution are written under the title of the article. If the manuscript is written by a team, the editor only deals with the main author or the author whose name is listed first.

Abstract and keywords: Abstracts are written in English and Indonesian with a number of words between 150-200, containing briefly and clearly the research problem, objectives, methods, and results, and conclusions. Keywords consist of 3-5 words, written in one space after the abstract.

Preliminary: Contains a description of the background, problem formulation, and research objectives.

Theoretical review: Contains descriptions of previous theories and research which serve as the basis for developing hypotheses (if any) and research models.

Research methods: Contains a description of the type of research and an overview of the population (object) of the study, sampling techniques, data collection techniques, variables and variable operational definitions (units of study for qualitative research), and data analysis techniques.

Analysis and Discussion: Contains descriptions of research data analysis and discussion of research findings.

Conclusions and suggestions: Contains research conclusions, suggestions, and research limitations.

Writing Format

- Articles are typed using Microsoft Word with the letters Book Antiqua size 11 with 1.15 spacing on A4 paper.

- Paper margins: left, right, top, and bottom sides, each 2.5 cm.

- The article length ranges from 5-15 pages, including a bibliography.

- All pages, including bibliography and attachments, must be numbered.

Submission of Articles

- Articles submitted to the Kiat journal include the name, e-mail address, and the name of the institution.

- Articles sent must be accompanied by a statement that the article has never been published or is not in the process of being published in another journal, as evidenced by a written statement signed by the author (stamped Rp. 6000).

- If the article uses a survey or experimental approach, all instruments (questionnaires, cases, interview plans, etc.) must be attached.

Review method

Articles that have passed the section editor's initial assessment will be sent to the reviewer to review their eligibility for publication through a blind review process. Reviewers will not know the author's name or vice versa. The results of the blind review will state:

  1. Received
  2. Revision required
  3. Submitted back for review
  4. Rejected
