Abstract

This research examines the application of the Task-Based Learning (TBL) method to improve skills in learning arts and culture among students at PPG Daljab. The aims of this research are (1) to improve students' skills in learning arts and culture among Daljab PPG students by implementing task-based learning, and (2) to describe student responses in lectures "by implementing task-based learning. This research is an empirical study which can be classified as a type of classroom action research which is descriptive qualitative in nature. From this value, only 6 (24%) people got a score greater than or equal to 6, while the rest (78%) got a score less than 5. Cycle 1 the average skill in learning arts and culture for Daljab PPG students was 6.93 ; Cycle 2, the average score of skills in learning arts and culture for Daljab PPG students increased to 7.54. Based on these scores, it is known that 100% of students got a score equal to or greater than 6. The success of the learning program is directly related to the learning model applied. A teaching and learning process that implements a task-based learning design. The variety of learning models is determined by the variety of objectives (learning outcomes) to be achieved in the learning process. This research discusses the importance of task-based learning in learning arts and culture for Daljab PPG students.
