Implementasi Program Penanggulangan Bencana oleh Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

Based on the results of observations in the field, it is known that there are limited facilities and infrastructure for disaster management in the city of Pekanbaru. Disaster management is still not optimal due to limited human resources if a disaster occurs at the same time. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Disaster Management Program by Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD). This research is qualitative research. Based on research conducted regarding the Implementation of the Disaster Management Program by Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD), it is known that if a disaster occurs, a meeting will be held with several related agencies, for example the city government, forkompinda and others to discuss and take action. what should be done. Resources in terms of human resources are not yet ideal in terms of numbers and in terms of education, no one has disaster education, while in terms of facilities it is still very lacking, so many facilities are on loan from other agencies. The disposition is seen from the support for improving facilities and infrastructure which is currently urgently needed by the Disaster Management Program by Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD). The bureaucratic structure dividing authority is absolutely responsible for providing disaster assistance in Pekanbaru City.
