Strengthening the Concept of Agile Governance for Increasing the Economic Independence of Communities in Terengganu State Malaysia

Abstract

Agile Governance is a concept that prioritizes agility, ease and speed in organizing government affairs in order to improve public services and fulfill community needs. This article highlights the agile governance approach or agile governance in increasing the economic independence of the community, especially in Kuala Terengganu Peninsular Malaysia. One of the symptoms found in Negeri Terengganu Semanjung Malaysia is a multidimensional problem that is related to the economic level of the community in the State of Terengganu Peninsular Malaysia, most of whom work as farmers and fishermen. Cooperation between universities and the Kuala Terengganu government is one of the elements that can help participants, namely the community, to be independent in getting adequate income, increasing quality of life, and in finding alternative solutions to escape the shackles of poverty. Good and mutually supportive interrelationships and strengthening agile governance as well as strong cooperation from various stakeholders can ensure the survival of the community at a better level. Community service activities provide a way out of the problems faced by partners in the form of providing knowledge, understanding and materials on strengthening community empowerment. In addition, community service activities are carried out by providing special material on forms of community empowerment in order to help the community become an empowered and independent society.
