Abstract
Financial independence is an important goal for students amid increasing living costs and demands for economic self-reliance. However, many students remain financially dependent on their parents despite having strong intentions to be independent. This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial intention on financial independence and examine the moderating role of entrepreneurial orientation. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. The population consisted of students participating in the Liga Bisnis Sosial Siliwangi Program and the Klasik UPA PKKM Program at Universitas Siliwangi in 2025. A total of 167 respondents were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that entrepreneurial intention has a significant effect on financial independence. Furthermore, entrepreneurial orientation has a significant direct effect and moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and financial independence. These findings highlight the important role of entrepreneurial orientation in strengthening the implementation of students’ entrepreneurial intentions to achieve financial independence.
