Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Originality and Exclusivity: The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • Language: The manuscript is written entirely in English. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the English is clear, grammatically correct, and appropriate for academic publication.
  • File Format: The manuscript is submitted only in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Journal Template: The manuscript has been prepared using the official journal template. Authors are required to use the latest Microsoft Word template provided by the journal. (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PEyYU_fPIvHijKs4Dtq3GUMr_fwsoJO3?usp=sharing)
  • Author Guidelines: The manuscript complies with all stylistic, structural, and bibliographic requirements specified in the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • Similarity Index: The manuscript has been checked for similarity, and the similarity index is less than 20%.
  • AI Writing: The manuscript has been checked for AI-generated content, and the AI detection level is less than 10%.
  • ORCID: ORCID iDs are required for all authors and must be provided accurately in the submission metadata.
  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human participants must have appropriate ethical approval. A valid ethical approval number and an appropriate ethical statement must be included in the manuscript.
  • References: The manuscript contains a minimum of 30 references, primarily from the last 5 years.
  • Reference Sources: At least 80% of the references are from reputable international sources, while up to 20% may be from relevant national sources.
  • DOI: DOIs must be included whenever available and must be checked for accuracy.
  • Reference Management: All citations and references have been consistently managed using Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, or another recognized reference management tool, in accordance with the journal's required citation style.
  • Statement of Originality: The authors have completed and uploaded the required Statement of Originality using the official journal form. The statement must be completed and signed and uploaded together with the manuscript. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h3-SwnBdKCmnShSmIrAxL-wWlwdkZxkz/view)
  • AI Disclosure Statement: The authors have disclosed the use or non-use of generative AI tools in preparing the manuscript in accordance with the journal's AI policy.
  • Author Approval: All listed authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission to the journal.
  • Reviewer Recommendation (Optional): Authors who wish to recommend potential reviewers may submit at least two (2) reviewer candidates by email to [email protected]. Each recommended reviewer must have a minimum Scopus h-index of 3 and relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Recommended reviewers must be independent of the authors and have no conflict of interest with the authors. The final selection and appointment of reviewers remain at the discretion of the journal.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted through one of the following ways (the second way is preferred):

  1. Manuscripts preferably using Online Submission System in the portal E-Journal of Sport Area (http://journal.uir.ac.id/index.php/JSP)
  2. The first author listed as author and or Reviewers (checking role as Author and / or Reviewer) on the "Register" or address: http://journal.uir.ac.id/index.php/JSP/user/register
  3. After Writer login as Author, click on "New Submission". Stages submit article consists of five stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). confirmation
  4. Under Start, select Submission Checklist (Full Article), check all of the checklist.
  5. In the Upload Submission, please upload a manuscript file in Microsoft Word articles in this section.
  6. In the Enter Metadata, enter data all Writers and their affiliates, followed by the title and abstract, and indexing keywords.
  7. Upload Supplementary Files in part, is allowed to upload file data to support or cover letter or other document.
  8. On the Confirmation, please click "Finish Submission" if all the information is correct.
  9. If the author difficulties in the process of submission via online system, manuscripts can also be sent via e-mail to e-mail Editorial Sport Area ([email protected]), however this secondary method can be use if you find any difficulties on the procedure.
