Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how unemployment affects non-food consumption in the province of Riau. A social and economic issue, unemployment may have an impact on a person's or a household's level of consumption. This study will talk about the effects of unemployment on non-food consumption habits in the context of Riau Province, where it can be a significant problem. This research approach entails gathering secondary data from the Riau Province, such as statistics on unemployment and non-food consumption. After that, the data will be statistically examined to determine the connection between non-food consumption and unemployment. The study's findings indicate that the unemployment rate has little influence on non-food spending.
