A Pentadic Analysis of Political Campaign Gerindra Parties on Social Media

This research analyzes posts made by the Gerindra political party on social media during the 2024 presidential election campaign. This research uses the dramatism theory put forward by Kenneth Burke. The author wants to know the meaning of the symbols used by the Gerindra Party in its X social media uploads during the official campaign period determined by the General Election Commission, namely from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, using five elements of pentad analysis (act, scene, agent, agency, and purpose). The social media account In various actions (acts) carried out, Prabowo Subianto tends to be an actor (agent), either directly or indirectly, having support from big names around him, as well as campaigns in several places and various characteristics that are formed (scenes). It produces relationships between elements combined into weapons (agency) to achieve both main and special goals (purpose).
