Multiple Repetition Strategy of Tahfidz Teachers in Improving Qur'an Memorization of Junior High School Stude

Abstract

There are several strategies that can be used during the memorization process, namely the multiple repetition strategy, not switching to the next verse, memorizing the sequence of verses, memorizing with one type of mushaf, and finally depositing memorization to people who have memorized the Qur'an and are good at tajweed. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive type with a case study method. The main data sources in this study are Islamic religious education teachers and students. While the secondary data sources are journals, e-books, printed books and so on that are directly related to this research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and document examination. The data validity check uses credibility by extending participation, increasing persistence in research and triangulation. The results of the researcher's findings that the role of the tahfizh teacher is very important in improving student memorization through the application of multiple repetition strategies and as a material resource center, the halaqoh teacher controls all support to improve student memorization.
