This study aims to find out if motivation affects academic achievement in YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative method with correlation analysis techniques. With a population of 96 residents, the researcher took a sample of 49 respondents from YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru, which was collected by questionnaire and the data was measured using a Likert scale and processed with the help of SPSS 25. From the results of the study on the Pearson correlation analysis test, it was found that motivation (X) had a significant positive effect on learning achievement (Y) in YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru. Judging from the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the Pearson correlation test showed that the independent variable (X) had an effect on the dependent variable (Y) in YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru with a value of 0.721 or 72.1%. It can be concluded that there is an effect of motivation, and the remaining 27.9% is influenced by other variables that were not included in this study.
