The Effectiveness of the Riau Makmur Program at Baznas in Achieve the Goal of Distribution of Zakat to Mustahiq

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that many mustahik who have daily shop businesses experience obstacles to their business capital, this makes the quality of their business decrease, it is difficult to manage a business and it is also difficult to meet their living needs. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the 2022 Z-Mart program run by BAZNAS Riau Province in achieving its goals. To see the effectiveness of the program, four indicators are used, namely, the accuracy of the target, socialization, objectives, and monitoring or supervision. This study uses a type of field research with a qualitative research approach. The data collection technique uses interview, observation, and documentation methods. The informants consisted of 11 resource persons, one of the amil in the field of distribution and utilization of zakat as well as the person in charge of the Z-Mart program at BAZNAS Riau Province and 10 mustahik zakat recipients of the Z-Mart Program. Data processing uses source triangulation techniques. The process of analyzing data uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and making final conclusions. The results of the study show that the Z-Mart program is effective in target accuracy, goal achievement, and supervision, but the program socialization is still not optimal.
