Peningkatan Budaya Literasi Masyarakat Dalam Mewujudkan Pendidikan Kampung Berkualitas di Negara Bagian Terengganu Darul Iman, Malaysia

Abstrak

The low literacy culture of the community, especially in reading books, especially the younger generation and school children, is caused by various factors, as well as the lack of literacy promotion carried out by both the government and non-government organizations so that it has not been able to reach all levels of society. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out this community service because it aims to provide knowledge and understanding as well as motivation about the importance of implementing a literacy culture especially a book reading culture for the community in Terengganu State especially for adolescents and school children, and to encourage village governments and non-governmental organizations to continue to promote the importance of literacy for the community. This activity was carried out using the method of counseling and socialization and discussion through presentation of material by resource persons and question and answer discussions. This service has been carried out in Kampung Telaga Daing, Kuala Terengganu Malaysia which was attended by the people of Kampung Telaga Daing who were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity because they needed information about the importance of literacy culture amid the current globalization, the service team has also evaluated and monitored the impact of the service that has been carried out through distributing partner satisfaction questionnaires and using whatshapp media.
