Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role of immigration in shaping the social and demographic dynamics of a nation, particularly within the context of globalization and the transformation of modern societal structures. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, this study explores how immigration influences social stratification, cultural acculturation, geographic population distribution, and immigration policy management. The findings indicate that immigration not only enhances ethnic and cultural diversity but also alters social relations, promotes upward social mobility, and generates new challenges in demographic governance and labor management. Conversely, immigration can also serve as a positive catalyst for economic development and social integration, depending on the receiving country's readiness to respond fairly and adaptively through inclusive public policies. This study emphasizes the necessity of multidimensional migration policies—going beyond border control to include sustainable demographic redistribution and stronger social integration mechanisms.
