Abstract

Paste art learning is applied in the new normal era to class IV B students at SDN 5 Rawajitu Utara. In the learning process the teacher guides students to make pasted works of art (collages, montages, mosaics) and combines techniques, with various materials such as seeds, paper, leaves and other materials. The objectives of the research are (1) Understanding the characteristics and abilities of students in learning the art of paste in the new normal. (2) Knowing the application of joyfull learning strategies in learning paste art in the new normal for grade IV B students at SDN 5 Rawajitu Utara Mesuji Lampung.

The theoretical studies used in this research are integrated art learning, joyfull learning strategies and the elements and principles of art. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were Mrs. Suwaibah S. Pd as an art and culture teacher for class IV B, class IV B students totaling 28 people and parents of class IV B students at SDN 5 Rawajitu Utara totaling 3 people. While the object of this research is the learning of paste art in the new normal and joyful learning strategies. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data used are Credibility, Transferability, Dependability and Confirmability. The analysis technique used is Data Reduction, Data Description and Conclusion Drawing.

The results of the study were obtained as follows; First, Grade IV students have different characteristics and abilities from students at other grade levels, so teachers need to understand the characteristics and abilities of students first, before learning so that there is no failure in learning. Second, the joyfull learning strategy is applied to online and offline learning of paste art in the new normal. In online learning, the teacher sends animated videos so that students are motivated to learn and sends pasted art materials through the WhatsApp group. After that, the teacher directs students to find and collect materials from the surrounding environment that are used to make pasted works of art. Meanwhile, at offline meetings, the teacher explains the material in detail and in depth but is packaged as interesting as possible. Before learning begins, the teacher also provides refreshments in advance, so that students do not get bored easily. The learning of paste art is divided into 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage.
