Abstract

This research is entitled “The Effect of Learning Style on Chemistry Learning Outcomes of Class XI at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang”. This study aims to examine the effect of learning styles on student learning outcomes in chemistry subjects. The type of research used It is recommended to use the simple past tense, especially from the objectives to the conclusion, as this was a quantitative research involving data collection methods through observation and questionnaires (questionnaires) conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang in class XI IPA students. The subjects of this study consisted of students in class XI IPA 1 as many as 36 students, XI IPA 2 as many as 36 students, XI IPA 3 as many as 36 students, and XI IPA 4 as many as 36 students, with a total of 144 people. In terms of gender, there were 41 male students (28.5%) and 103 female students (71.5%). Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaire, and interview techniques. From the results of research at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang, the majority of students have a kinesthetic learning style, as many as 61 students with a percentage of 42.36%. Furthermore, there are 48 students with an auditorial learning style which has a percentage of 33.33%, and 35 students who have a visual learning style with a percentage of 24.31%. The statistical test results show a tcount value of 2.462 and a significance value of 0.015. This finding shows that there is an influence between learning styles and learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA in Chemistry at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence between learning styles and student learning outcomes.
