PELAKSANAAN PROGRAM PEDULI DAN BERBUDAYA LINGKUNGAN HIDUP DI SEKOLAH (PBLHS) (STUDI DI SEKOLAH SMA NEGERI 1 PANGKALAN KERINCI KECAMATAN PANGKALAN KERINCI KABUPATEN PELALAWAN

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Environmentally Caring and Cultured School Program (PBLHS) at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci has implemented the PBLHS through three main components: school policies that support environmental preservation, implementation of an environment-based curriculum, and management of environmentally friendly facilities and infrastructure. Activities carried out include school greening, waste management based on the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), utilization of a waste bank, and the cultivation of clean and healthy living behaviors within the school environment. However, several challenges remain, such as limited supporting facilities, low awareness among some school members, and the need for stronger synergy with related agencies and the surrounding community. In general, the implementation of the PBLHS at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci has been going quite well and has had a positive impact on increasing environmental awareness among students and the entire school community.
