Strategi Darurat Dinas Pariwisata Dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Dalam Mengatasi Overtourism Saat Final Event Pacu Jalur Di Tepian Narosa

Abstract

The large number of tourists who visit the trackway tourist attraction on the Tepian Narosa causes overtourism, this causes discomfort for trackway tourists and the community around the tourist attraction. The aim of this research is to identify emergency strategies from the Kuantan Singingi Regency Tourism and Culture Office in overcoming overtourism during the final pacu jalur event at Tepian Narosa. This research uses qualitative methods using data collection techniques through observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this research conclude that the Kuantan Singingi Regency Tourism and Culture Office has implemented an emergency strategy to overcome overtourism at the pacu jalur event at Tepian Narosa by implementing Pacu Jalur Rayon which aims to suppress spectators at the track racing event at Tepian Narosa and providing facilities in the form of tents for medium to small businesses which aim to organize scattered traders at the trail racing event on the Tepian Narosa, but this strategy has not been optimal due to the limited budget. Research suggestions are the importance of having sufficient budget to improve and provide the facilities that tourists need, collaboration with the central government and the private sector to maximize the implementation and provision of facilities for cultural activities on the trail at the edge of Narosa.
