Inisiatif pendirian jurnal berawal dari diskusi mengenai pentingnya penelitian ekonomi yang bertujuan untuk mencapai kemaslahatan bagi seluruh umat manusia dengan tidak mengesampingkan unsur-unsur dalam maqashid syari’ah. Artikel yang diterbitkan dalam JOEW diharapkan dapat mencakup berbagai topik dibidang ekonomi pembangunan dengan menggunakan alat analisis ekonomi dan sosial. Topik yang&nbsp; menjadi prioritas JOEW sebagai berikut: Ekonomi Regional &amp; perkotaan, Ekonomi Fiskal &amp; Moneter, Ekonomi Sumberdaya Manusia, Ekonomi Sumber daya alam, Ekonomi Internasional dan Ekonomi Maritim. Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) is the ratio of investment to GDP which is one of the macro indicators of the level of efficiency of an economy. Riau Province's investment value has a large contribution to economic growth. This makes the level of investment efficiency in Riau Province very important. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive analysis, namely explaining the results of table and graphic analysis. While the ICOR calculation method uses the standard ICOR method. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Provincial BPS and the Riau Province Integrated Investment Service, including GRDP data by business sector and GRDP data by expenditure. In this study, a method of quantitative description is used. The sample data used in this research is from the eastern Java province, where there are 39 districts. The results of the study show that population numbers have a significant influence on the poverty rate, and the unemployment rate has a significant impact on poverty rates. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan data sekunder yang digunakan berupa data panel dalam periode pengamatan 2010-2021. Metode pengumpulan data adalah Studi Dokumenter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variable investasi menunjukkan bahwa variable investasi yang dilihat dari tingkat penanaman modal dalam negeri dan penanaman modal asing berpengaruh terhadap tingkat pengangguran terbuka di provinsi Riau. A social and economic issue, unemployment may have an impact on a person's or a household's level of consumption. This study will talk about the effects of unemployment on non-food consumption habits in the context of Riau Province, where it can be a significant problem. This research approach entails gathering secondary data from the Riau Province, such as statistics on unemployment and non-food consumption. After that, the data will be statistically examined to determine the connection between non-food consumption and unemployment.
