Plagiarism Policy
J-LELC: Journal of Language Education, Linguistic, and Culture acknowledges that acts of plagiarism are unacceptable so we establish the following policy which states specific actions (penalties) if plagiarism is identified in a text submitted for publication in J-LELC: Journal of Language Education, Linguistics, and Culture.
Definition:
Plagiarism is taking someone else's essay (opinion and so on) and making it appear as if it were your own essay, for example publishing someone else's writing on your own behalf; plagiarize.
Based on this definition, articles must be original, have never been published, and are not in the process of waiting for publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it differs from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve actions according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:
- Plagiarized part of a short sentence from another article without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and quote properly.
- Plagiarizes most of the other articles without proper citation and does not mention the source. Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the Poetry Journal: Journal of Research and Service to Literature, Language, and Education and the Author may be penalized for not being allowed publication in J-LELC: Journal of Language Education, Linguistic, and Culture.
All article authors are responsible for the content of the manuscripts they submit. If it is proven that the author submits the manuscript to the Journal Poetry: Journal of Research and Service to Literature, Language, and Education simultaneously submits it to other journals, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then action is given according to point 2 above.
