Abstract

Wild grass in the environment around the community is a problem that needs to be solved. Awareness of caring for the environment must be raised from an early age, so that it sticks and creates a generation that cares about the environment. This research aims to create a generation that cares about the environment by making seed paper using wild grass as the main ingredient, which is carried out with young children. This activity educates children about the importance of protecting the environment and using wild grass waste in a creative way, by involving children in the process of making seed paper. Apart from practicing fine motor skills, they learn sustainable values ​​and environmental responsibility. The methods used include practical and interactive learning, with a Participatory Action Research approach which includes socialization, training and real action involving all elements of society, especially children. The results of this service are 1) Forming children's characters who care about the environment. 2) Encouraging active participation in environmental sustainability, and 3) Training children's fine motor skills. Through this activity, children understand how important it is to preserve nature by using organic waste in the form of grass to make seed paper.
