Early childhood Islamic education played a crucial role in shaping children's character and moral values, especially within local cultural contexts such as Minangkabau. This study aimed to analyze the construction of early childhood Islamic education in the thoughts of Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli through the novel Nasihat Siti Budiman using Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory. The research employed a qualitative textual analysis method with content analysis techniques to interpret the Islamic educational values embedded in the novel. The findings revealed that Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli emphasized the integration of Islamic principles and Minangkabau cultural values in early childhood education, as reflected in the exemplary character of Siti Budiman. Through observation, advice, and the practice of Islamic values in daily life, children in the novel learned indirectly, aligning with Bandura’s concept of social learning. Furthermore, Islamic education in the novel highlighted the importance of discipline, responsibility, and respect for both tradition and religion in shaping children's character. Thus, Islamic education rooted in local culture not only strengthened children's religious identity but also equipped them with social skills aligned with Islamic teachings. This study concluded that the Islamic education model developed by Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli remained relevant in contemporary early childhood education, particularly in addressing the challenges of globalization and modernization.
