Food security policy is a central issue in development as well as the main focus in agricultural development. The increasing food needs is concomitant with the increasing population and job opportunities for the people to obtain feasible income in order to make the access to food becomes the 2 main components in the realization of food security. From the results of the study conducted, it was found that the main problem in the national food security is that the national food production capacity that is still not good enough, so that the author concluded some alternatives to overcome the problem. First, agricultural land extensification or expansion. Second, intensification. This program is aimed at increasing the production through the enhancement in agricultural land productivity.
